Serves 4 » Adapted from Epicurious.com

A fun take on a classic dish. If you like your salsa spicier, add an extra pepper! Serve with corn chips like Native Blue Tortilla Chips

Ingredients:
1 fresh Serrano or Jalapeno chili
    1 cup finely chopped strawberries
¼ cup finely chopped white onion
    2 tablespoons finely chopped cilantro
    ½ teaspoon fresh limejuice
    ¼ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon sugar, if desired (depends on the sweetness of the strawberries and your taste)
    2 firm-ripe avocados

Preparation:

Wearing rubber gloves, remove stems, seeds, and ribs from chili and chop fine. In bowl stir together chili and remaining salsa ingredients, except avocados. Salsa may be made several hours ahead and chilled, covered. Before serving, halve avocadoes, removing pits, peel and cube into ½ pieces. Pile in the center of salsa and serve.
