Brennan’s has the “pearfect”
fruit.... Stemilt’s Washington State Pears, and
they are bursting with flavor. Skip Brennan found these beauties
on an apple buying trip years ago. He ran into Kyle Stemilt
and they talked apples all day, but Skip noticed the most
perfect pears he had ever seen tucked away. Upon questioning,
Kyle said they were just starting to get into the pear business,
but he would be happy to sell some to Brennan’s.
Today, Stemilt’s is one of Washington’s
largest pear producers growing Bartlett, Red Bartlett, Bosc,
Comice, Asian and d'Anjou. In 2005, Kyle introduced a new
variety-- the Concord. It's a delightful green pear shaped
like a Bosc with the sweetness and juice of our chin drippin'
peaches you remember so well!
Kyle has never forgotten Skip’s enthusiasm
over his fabulous produce and always ensures that Brennan’s
gets the cream of the crop. Thank you, Kyle!
